Privacy Policy

What we collect, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.

The short version

We collect what the marketplace needs to work: who you are, where you are, and what you asked for. When a contractor pays the lead fee for a job, we give them that homeowner's name, phone number and email — that exchange is the whole product, and posting a job is your consent to it.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. There is no advertising network in this app.

What we collect

When you create an account

If you are a contractor

As you use the app

We do not use your device GPS. Location is the state and city you pick from a list. We do not access your address book. If you choose a business profile photo, the app uses your camera or photo library and uploads the selected image to Supabase. The camera can also scan a card inside Stripe's payment sheet. Card numbers never reach Miliuzo — payment details go directly from your device to Stripe. Miliuzo can display the card brand, last four digits and expiry. Stripe also processes device and payment interaction information for fraud prevention.

Why we collect it

Who else sees it

Visitors can browse services and limited summaries of open jobs without an account. Public job summaries show the service, city and state, project type, lead fee and available contractor spots. They do not include your name, contact details, exact address or the free-text fields of your request.

Your business profile photo is shown with your profile and introductions. It is stored at a public image URL; anyone with that URL can view it. You can remove the photo from Account.

Other users, but only as the marketplace requires: a contractor who pays the lead fee for your job receives your name, phone and email. Your contact details are never shown before that.

Service providers, who are contractually required to protect your data to the same standard set out here and may only use it to provide their service to us:

We also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined by California law.

How long we keep it

Deleting your account

Open Account → Delete account in the app and type DELETE. This is permanent and we cannot restore it. You do not have to email anyone or wait for us to act.

Deleting removes your profile, your contact details, your saved card, your device from our notification list, jobs nobody has taken, your blocks and your reports. What remains is the financial record of lead fees charged, with your identity removed, because US tax rules require us to keep the transaction — and ratings, with your name removed.

Withdrawing consent

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to support@miliuzo.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing — we do neither — and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of them. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

Children

Miliuzo is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, write to support@miliuzo.com.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your session is stored in the device keychain or keystore, and you can require Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode to open the app from Account → app lock. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it.

No system is perfect. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes and contact

If we change how we handle your data in a material way, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Questions, requests, or complaints: support@miliuzo.com.
